Blue Prairie Brands has developed ingredients and products for use in the functional food and dietary fiber markets.

WHY

Chicory is the primary commercial source of inulin fiber and Blue Prairie Brands proprietary chicory flour in an ingredient that offers a drop-in replacement potential for replacing starch and added sugars in existing food products. BPB’s prebiotic ingredients help maintain a healthy gut environment for beneficial bacteria and are critical for optimal health.

MISSION

Our investment in BPB was driven by the company's ability to grow, process and sell a non-bitter chicory flour that increases fiber in the diet, reduces added sugar and improves the microbiome. Our investment in BPB can help make the food system healthier and provide cleaner label options for CPG companies to improve their products for public consumption.
