Benson Hill Biosystems is an agricultural biotechnology company pioneering the use of cloud computing and plant biology to improve crop yields.

Benson Hill Biosystems is taking a unique approach that leverages systems biology, bioinformatics, and high-throughput screening to quickly identify genetic and epigenetic targets and evaluate their phenotypic effects across a variety of crop types. While focusing broadly on optimizing photosynthesis, Benson Hill Biosystems is evaluating targets with specific impacts on water-use-efficiency, crop yield, and nitrogen-use-efficiency. The overall approach pursued is to enable plants and crops to operate more efficiently with existing input levels, which leads to improved overall production yields.

Our investment in Benson Hill Biosystems is focused on empowering a new era of innovation that accelerates crop improvement to benefit the food system and society.
